About ME! Ms. Vivian:
I received my teaching credential in 1980 from San Diego State University. I taught the next fourteen years in Texas and Missouri. I successfully home schooled my two children from the beginning. My son graduated in 2008 & my daughter will graduate in 2010. I’ve taught science to homeschoolers for 9+ years.
CURRICULUM:
The Apologia Textbooks by Dr. Jay Wile and Jeannie Fulbright are used in all the classes. The students meet once a week for two hours. In addition to the textbook work and labs, a science fair is held every year. This has been a wonderful time for the students to shine in an area of interest.
THE DETAILS:
Tuesday September 8th and Thursday September 10th-First day class.
Tuition will be $35/month, a one time lab fee of $60, & a book rental fee of $25.
HOPE ACADEMY follows the Hockinson School district calendar & snow policy
Extra Help...Extra Classes Available
- Topical Classes: (min 8 per class): $35 mo: Laser & Optics, Rocketry, Space Science, Scientific Method, Body Structure & dissection, Quilting-purses, Calendar Squares, Split railing. Sewing pillow cases, Pj’s, Aprons. Public Speaking & More!
- Tutoring: $25 per hour: SCIENCE, MATH, READING: Tailored to fit the need of the child. This is a great fit for homeschool, CAM, Classlink, Private or Public school.
Tuesday Class Schedule:
8am - 10am: Physics
10am - pm: Chemistry
1pm - 3pm: Physical Science
3pm - 5pm: Land Animals
Thursday Class Schedule:
8am - 10am: Biology
10am - 12pm: General Science
1pm - 2:30pm: Experiments 1st & 2nd graders*
*no book for this class we will use lap-books and that cost is included in
